Lisa works as a Director of Operations for a Software company and moved her family to La Paz from California 5 months ago. Many would say she was living the “American Dream”, but she felt the complete opposite. She was looking for a place that would enrich her children's cultural intellect and give them a greater sense of freedom and that led her back to her roots in Mexico.. El Centenario was exactly that plus more. After only one month, Lisa felt El Centenario had already given so much to her family that she wanted to give back and be a part of something bigger. This brought her to the Revitalize El Centenario Project; a project that is inclusive and will teach us that we are all humans, just with a different story.
After 39 years of service in the food & grocery industry Linda came to La Paz on vacation from Washington state; she so loved the people, culture and beaches that she moved here shortly after and never left. El Centenario is a place Linda proudly calls home and is happy to volunteer her time to give back to the community.
Raised in Baja California Sur since she was three years old, Marian is a passionate scientist. She studied marine biology & has a Ph.D. in marine sciences. With her husband and their then 7 month old daughter, Marian decided to establish her permanent home in El Centenario. Her actual life involves scientific research, a lot of quality family time and her Montessori inspired project “Mamá Científica”. Marian thinks that connections with the right people is a basics for happiness, especially in the community you live. For her, the project Revitalize El Centenario is a major opportunity to weave a net of strong connections through a healthy, fun and inspired space in our public park.
